Alain Vaysset

Honorific President

I hold the French State Diploma, obtained in 1975, which is required to teach tennis in France.

As a pioneer in the development of tennis, I was one of the first five professionals to establish a company specializing in one-week intensive training camps, as well as a dedicated training center in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, near Paris.

Deeply committed to defending the rights of French tennis coaches, I founded and led the National Union of Certified Coaches (SNBET), working to promote recognition and value for our profession. For around fifteen years, I served on the National Teaching Council of the French Tennis Federation (FFT).

In the field of education, I created and managed two DEJEPS certified training centers recognized by the French Ministry of Sports, located in Paris and Montpellier. For 20 years, I was also a member of the pedagogical jury for the State Diploma examination in La Grande Motte, near Montpellier.

Alongside my professional activities, I remained active on the courts in competitive play. I have represented France in various age categories at the World Championships, and individually, I have won:

  • 2 ITF World Championship titles
  • 1 European Championship title
  • 5 French National Championship titles

Still driven by passion, I stay closely connected to the evolution of tennis education and continue to share my knowledge and experience. I am especially proud to promote and pass on the French tennis method  simple, structured, progressive, and fun suited to both children and adults.

I look forward to meeting you soon in Asia and at the Middle East.

I’m delighted to offer you a variety of programs and the opportunity to collaborate in developing the next generation of tennis coaches and training programs, based on the proven French methodology.

French State-certified Tennis Coach 30+ Years of Experience with over three decades of coaching expertise, I am a certified professional tennis coach by the French Tennis Federation, dedicated to developing players and coaches at all levels around the world.

As a player, I was crowned French High School National Champion (UNSS), captained teams to national titles in both First National Division B and National Second Division, and reached a competitive playing level of 5.5.  In addition to tennis, I earned two national selections with the French U15 rugby squad.

In France, my key coaching roles have included:

  • Director of the Tennis Club of Bressuire

  • National touring coach for the Poitou-Charentes Tennis Association, leading elite junior training camps

  • Jury member for the national coaching certification (BE1) exams and the VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience) process

  • Tennis coach and examiner at CREPS of Poitiers for future certified coaches

  • Captain of the French U12 national teams (boys and girls), including a European Championship title with the boys’ team

  • Occasional touring coach with Christian Kordasz (ATP No. 232)

In Asia, I served as:

  • National Technical Director in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City)

  • Head Coach at Hope Tennis Academy in Taichung, Taiwan, training elite WTA, ATP, and ITF men’s, women’s and Juniors players

  • Private touring coach for top ITF juniors across China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Hong Kong

Currently based in Bangkok, I coach and consult at the British Club of Bangkok.

In 2023, I founded Marcel Petit Tennis Lab, a specialist racquet pro shop and tennis brand distributor representing Pro Kennex, Still In Black, and Solarbat exclusively mainly in Asia & Middle East.

I am passionate about sharing my coaching experience and the French tennis method, a structured, progressive, and dynamic approach that brings out the best in every coach and player.

As a former French tennis student, then a competitive French player, and now an experienced coach, I’m proud to carry forward the values and teaching philosophy that shaped my journey. The French method has always been my foundation, and I’m truly excited to share this legacy with others.

In 2024, I created UFrTP with a clear mission: to support and develop tennis coaches across Asia and the Middle East, by providing high-quality education, practical tools, and a strong professional network.

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our first full-time coaching institute, opening in Q1 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

I look forward to welcoming you into our programs and growing together on this exciting journey.

Welcome to UFRTP

First and foremost, thank you for visiting UFRTP, and a warm welcome to all.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching tennis across various countries including Korea, the United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. Through these diverse experiences, I gained a broad perspective on coaching methodologies, each with its own unique strengths. Among them, the French tennis methodology stood out as the most structured and effective in producing consistent, high-level results.

During my time at an international tennis academy in Taiwan, I had the opportunity to work alongside a team of French coaches, training elite and professional players. This experience allowed me to deeply understand and apply the systematic and holistic approach of French tennis coaching. It left a lasting impression on me and became a foundation of my coaching philosophy.

Today, back in my home country of Korea, I dedicate myself to supporting players of all levels whether they’re just starting their tennis journey or striving for elite performance by sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated over the years.

To junior athletes navigating a critical phase of their development, to passionate tennis enthusiasts seeking more effective and efficient ways to improve, and to fellow coaches guiding these players I strongly recommend exploring the UFRTP workshops and programs.

I look forward to being part of your journey toward growth and excellence.
